Nursery Fun

You know that "nesting" phase that hits all of a sudden...well I got mine while we were on vacation LOL. I think we had the cleanest hotel room though. I think I just realized all the things we needed to do and started to worry. So when we got home I designated labor day weekend as our time to work on the baby's room. Jon was especially excited for this. :)

The good news is that we did a lot and it is finally looking like a baby's room...not a study. Phew. We got the crib up and the changing table and I even made some decorations for the room. I took some pictures, but they are with my phone because I was to tired to go down stairs and get my real camera. I know...I know...but I am seriously tired today.

So...here is his crib. The bedding polka dots in darker primary colors.  And there still isn't a sheet or anything on it yet  (cause I don't have one LOL). But I have everything else!

My mom is going to paint one wall red in the room too. I think that will really look nice. I just love the way my decorations turned out. And I seriously made all of them. I found this canvas painting at Baby Daily for $99.  Yikes...that was a bit over budget...so I made my own. It turned out so so so so so cute and I think it will look awesome on the red wall. It looks just like the one there.  I got the canvas 50% off at craft warehouse last weekend so all I had to do was buy the paper. I had everything else at home!

Then I made these. They are each an 8x8 canvas and I am going to hang on the little wall by the window.

And last I made these cute little blocks with his name. I just love how these turned out.

I even went through and got his clothes organized,  and made a list of what we absolutely have to have before he is here. So I am feeling much better and I think Jon will tell you I am not as crazy as I was. (Ha...maybe not)/  Next weekend my sister is throwing me a shower which I am so excited for.

Once I get the room all put together I will take some pictures with my real camera!!

I love the polka dots and the blocks are adorable!! Way to make all that stuff and not spend a bunch. I bet it's fun to set up a nursery and decorate...I missing out on that one.
