Updates

My computer ended up with a virus so Jon has been fixing it...I finally got it back and feel like I am starting to reconnect to the world. I am going to copy my friend Andrea and just post some quick updates.

Baby Update:

  • Baby is doing really good. My stomach is huge. Last week I measured 38 cm...this week I measured 43. Yes...that's 5cm for those who are counting. They think it's mostly his position. He is completely out in front...there is nothing on the sides. Needless to say...I have already told Jon to start saving for my plastic surgery.
  • I have been having some contractions on and off for the last week. They checked me yesterday and I am dilated 1 cm. This is exciting for me because with Ethan I was never dilated and I never had any contractions or anything before he came.
  • Baby's room is all done...and I mean all done. Pictures will come soon. :) I have everything set up, washed and in it's appropriate spot. I am completely ready and ready can be. Just need the little guy now.
Ethan Update:
  • Ethan is doing great. He talks to the baby all the time...and asks how much longer until he is here. I know when he is here...he might change his mind LOL.  He keeps commenting that my lap is running out of room. :) I think kids know when things are about to change. The last two nights Ethan has asked me to rock him. I haven't been asked to do that in probably 6 months. So I made as much room as I could on my lap and we have been rocking.
  • Ethan can hit a ball over our fence in the back yard from the patio...and not on a T either.  He hits while Jon pitches to him. We have a big back yard actually...I thought it would last longer for our 3 year old LOL. Silly me.
Christy Update:
  • This week I packed up my desk at work and gave all my projects away to other people. I don't do that much anymore...it's kinda nice. It hasn't really set in that I am not going back to work. It feels like I am just getting ready to have the baby. I know in a few months it will set it. I know I will miss parts of it a lot. But I also know that this is what is right for our family. I have 37 years left to work...so if I can enjoy a few with my boys...then I am going to jump on the opportunity.
  • I also get to spend some time with my sisters kids, Maddie who is 3 and Brady who is 6 months once I stay home. It's a blessing to be able to watch them during the day and I am excited to start. It will take us some time to find our routine...and I will be out numbered 1:4 haha. So I guess my vote gets to count as 4. They are all 4 good kids and I am excited for the opportunity for them to all be together. It will be neat being apart of Maddie and Brady's life. I do love those kids a lot.
Jon Update:

  • Jon is doing good and keeping busy with work and me. Hehe. He takes good care of me and I am lucky to have him. Although he does laugh when I try to get out of bed. But I suppose I do look rather funny.
Well that about sums up what we have been up to. :)

I just saw your little counter on the side says NINETEEN DAYS! That's not too many more! WOW!

I like that you said they're all 4 good kids...you haven't met one yet! I'm sure he will be a perfect angel but I just thought it was funny. :)

I'm glad you're staying home! You'll love it! And seriously we need a playdate soon! Like sometime in the next 19 days!

Ha - that is funny Kelly. I think it's because when I have all three I feel like there is four LOL. Play date would be good. I have been having annoying contractions for the last two days...not to strong but enough to make me notice them. So maybe he will be early. Who knows.
