Well I will just say I am sorry now because this will be long. :) We just got back from a great vacation in California! We left on Thursday morning at 4:30am so we could get on the road while Ethan was sleeping. He of course did great and slept until 8 and then was chatty chatty the rest of the 11 hours. :) It was a smooth ride down and we were all ready to get out of the car after 15 hours. But I have to say that Ethan is seriously a perfect traveler. He is just happy to be where we are! Funny story - Ethan woke up for a bit at 430 and wanted to talk, so we explained that he needed to go to sleep first because the sun wasn't up yet. When he woke up the first words out of his mouth were "the sun is up...we can talk now". LOL, he is so cute.
The whole reason for the trip was because one of my best friends was getting married. I was a bridesmaid (a rather large one) and Ethan was the bible boy. The wedding was beautiful and it was great to be apart of everything.
After the wedding we headed down to San Diego and went to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. The Zoo is absolutely fabulous! It is huge and Ethan and Jon went 4 times. Yay for passes that work on multiple days and multiple times! It was hot the first two days so I only did half days at the zoo because I was pretty tired. So Jon and Ethan went back without me twice. I am glad they did because they had a lot of fun. They saw all of the animals and Ethan was full of stories for me. I was bummed to not be going, but it turns out little baby Isaac grew a lot on our trip - which explains why I was so tired. But I will discuss that later.
There were so many animals at the zoo! Ethan loved every minute of it. He really enjoys animals and learning about them.
Sea World was okay - the weather was nice and it was only 70 degrees the day we went. I enjoyed that a lot. :) I have to say that Sea World has turned into more of an amusement park. There are rides and the shows are more comedy then anything. The Sea Lions were quite disappointing. It was just a comedy show that had loud music and didn't really tell you anything about how the Sea Lions live or anything. Ethan didn't like the show at all because he hates loud things so he cried for most of it. The Dolphin show was better. But it was still half acrobats and people diving. The dolphins were so cute though. Ethan really enjoyed this show when the animals were out. The whales were fabulous! They are so beautiful and Ethan loved loved this show. It was more educational and it was just the animals. Not a bunch of fancy stuff to try and entertain people.
Here is a link to the pictures. *****PICTURES***** Obviously I have tons of pictures of animals - so I tired to only pick the important ones and with people. :) And I am not a professional and these are not edited in the slightest bit LOL.
And now for the baby update. Isaac is growing great and things are going good. I measured 30 cm at 30 weeks when we left and 35cm at 32 weeks when we got back! Yikes!! My midwife said she wasn't to concerned since Ethan obviously wasn't small and so we were expecting a growth spurt here soon. They will watch me for the next couple weeks and I might have to have an ultrasound just to see how big he is. I am not surprised since this same thing happened with Ethan. So I am glad that I didn't push it at the zoo because apparently Isaac was growing a lot! I have been a lot more uncomfortable the last few days and not sleeping so well...but I only have 7 weeks left so I can do it!!

I am glad you had a fun trip! Can't wait to see your baby bump Friday! :)
Glad your trip was fun!! Too bad about sea world. And just think you are on the downward hill for Isaacs birth. Not too much longer. Leah always measured large too. After she was born dr. decided it was her position since she wasn't a huge baby.
You are getting so close, yippee! And I'm sure you were a beautiful bridesmaid, even with a baby bump. Totally had the same disappointing experience at SeaWorld, Marshall and I are dorks and we love aquariums/zoos- the Vancouver Aquarium was like what SeaWorld used to be if you can ever make it up there- an even longer car ride :)
