To Grandma and Bapa's house we go....

Sometimes you just have to escape and go to Grandma's and Bapa's house. Saturday was one of those days for Ethan. He called Grandma in the afternoon on Saturday in hopes of getting invited over. But Grandma didn't answer (I think they were napping lol). So he suggested to Jon and I that we drop him off at their house anyway and he could sit outside by the door until they woke up. Apparently we are that boring over here.

But soon Ethan received a phone call from Grandma inviting him to come over and play. And then they invited him to spend the night and they were going to come get him! Oh he was beyond excited. So Ethan quickly ran around and packed his most necessary items.

Let me tell you...we had some negotiations on what to bring because he wanted to pack everything lol. Clothes really aren't as essential for Ethan so after I packed some clothes he added...his cup, his tooth brush holder (because you can't set it on the counter he says lol), his cup he uses while brushing his teeth haha, his work gloves (in case Bapa had some jobs for him to do), his sun glasses, his tennis shoes, another pair of pjs, some movies, a car or two and an airplane. You know...the essentials. :)

Now that is just his suitcase! We also packed two bins of Geo trax and some other toys that were necessary as well lol. Along with the toys came one strawberry blanket, one light turtle, one stuffed tortoise, one stuffed whale, one stuffed iguana, a bike and helmet, and one CD to listen to at night.

YES...this is for ONE night! Clearly he got his packing from me :)

Oh but the waiting was just to much for Ethan. He couldn't take it inside with us anymore. So he moved his booster seat outside and waited outside for them to come.... (Don't worry Jon was watching out the window to make sure he was okay) ;)

AND then finally after what seemed like forever for this boy Grandma and Bapa arrived. And they brought Bapa's truck...the dodge as he calls it...he loves riding in Bapa's truck with Bapa.

He was so happy when everything was packed and ready to go he did a little dance. :)

Ethan was one happy boy! And Jon and I ran around in circles for the first hour he was gone because the silence was just to much for us. We were confused...lost...our heads didn't hurt. After we recovered we enjoyed a wonderful Saturday night! Isaac was in bed by 630 so we had the evening to ourselves. It was fabulous.

Thanks mom and dad for making Ethan's weekend.

It was the most hilarious sight to see Ethan laying on your front porch waiting for us! LOL. He is a riot! You forgot to mention that he forgot clean underware in all that stuff . . haha! We loved having him -- he is such a sweetie and was a most perfect little boy! Love you Ethan :)

Isn't it so great to have grandparents close by? I think it's so fun that he got to go have fun at their house all by himself! And I'm glad you recorded all the funny little details! :)
