They crack me up when they are together. There was a condor who had his wings expanded and they were huge. The sign said up to 10 feet width...and these were huge. The kids thought it was great. But he wasn't flying so I was trying to explain to them that his wings were broken and that is why he was in the zoo. Maddie thought for sure we needed to call the doctor and "get him some baby tylenol". Ethan said very matter of factly "We just need to go to the store and get him a new pair Maddie". LOL.
The pictures aren't the best quality...but they are pictures so don't complain. :)
Okay, the Lions were the best today. First they were roaring all of the time. I have never heard a lion roar so loud. I can only immagine what it's like in the wild. I didn't really like the fact that the lions loved Ethan and seemed to look at him like breakfast. This one just stood there like this for a while.
Ethan thought it was great. Maddie and I quote said "Crissy...that is a huge lion". LOL yes, Maddie it was. But then this guy wanted to come over and check us out....
He walked back and forth forever. Then the other lion came back and sat down and apparently claimed ethan as his. I was a bit nervous because it is "only glass" so we left. LOL.
Maddie didn't not like the Lions after they roared very loud. Ethan said "that was awesome". Maddie covered her eyes and said...."I am not looking anymore auntie Crissy". LOL. Don't worry, after I took a picture quickly I held her while Ethan finished looking.
Maddie loved the penguins. They were her favorite. It's a bad picture...but again...it's a picture. :)
After the zoo we stopped by Jon's work (since you can see it from the zoo) and had lunch with him. Ethan was saying "cheese" but he had food in his mouth.
And that was our fun morning!

Sounds like a fun day. And A zoo wouldn't keep a lion behind "just" glass if he could break free :) You worry too much :)
I don't know...I am with Christy on this one...those pictures of E looking at the lion made me nervous! But then again, I have been told "you worry too much" many, many, many times :D
You are such a good mommy/auntie to take the kids out this morning! What a fun morning for them!
Sounds like you had a great time! I can just see Maddie covering her eyes and not looking! LOL. And Ethan telling her all we need to do is go to the store. They crack me up too when they are together. Glad it was a good day! I bet they really appreciated going together.
Yeah I was going to say you worry too much too! :) Especially if Andrea is backing you up. That's a good sign that you've overthought it a bit. :)
You are a great mom & auntie! We should plan a zoo date when it gets a little warmer. My kiddos would love it!
